Our story begins with a passionate woman, Binti Muzuri Tady, the founder of Amani Kids, which means peace for kids in Swahili, officially founded in June 2023 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since her childhood in Africa, she has always had a heart overflowing with love and compassion for children, seeking to help and defend them in every circumstance. To better understand the lives of children, Binti pursued her education by studying early childhood education at Central Piedmont Community College, where she also served as the president of the Early childhood education student club. This passion led her to volunteer with several nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting immigrants in the city of Charlotte.

Over the years, Binti discovered the unique needs of African refugees and immigrants, especially regarding the lack of vital information and language barriers that limited their access to essential services. She also observed that newly arrived families faced challenges in educating their children in a new environment and culture.

Determined to make a difference, Tady consulted the executive of International House Mrs Autumn Weil with her team, which provided valuable support to realize her dream of impacting the lives of African families in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Thus, Amani Kids was born, an organization dedicated to providing quality services to African refugee and immigrant children, bridging educational gaps and overcoming language barriers. Guided by her passion and commitment to the community, Binti and her team continue to work towards a brighter future for African children in Charlotte, one step at a time.
